The Domos Report Vol. 1
THE DOMOS REPORT
Introducing, The Domos Report | 10/2023
Hello from Suzanne,
As a Realtor, I am always asked, 'How is the real estate market?’ This makes sense, so many either own a home or are considering purchasing one. The state of the market speaks to the health of the economy and city. However, there is never a simple answer to this question. That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce you all to the first edition of The Domos Report. A quarterly newsletter that will help give you an inside view into that question. Each edition of The Domos Report will feature the latest market statistics, recent sales/new listings, an analysis of Chicago’s real estate market, and an overview of what’s happening within the neighborhoods I sell.

Meet the Partners
Joelle -
Level-headed, loyal, and strategic, Joelle is truly a pleasure to work with. She began as my assistant 20 years ago and I knew she had talent for the industry. She quickly started selling and we have worked on many deals together since. An expert within the family buying community and cooperative market (like me) Joelle and I are frequently called the “Co-Op Queens.”
Kirste -
Kirste and I first connected at the hockey rink where our children played the sport together. Starting as a client, Kirste showed a true interest in the industry. When she expressed interest in selling real estate, I knew right away that she would be great. Kirste is tough yet thoughtful and down to earth. For the last 14 years, we have worked together to deliver for our clients.
Sara -
Starting as an assistant after cutting her teeth in the very tough rental arena, Sara quickly made her mark and began selling with me. An artist by background, Sara brings visual creativity to her business. She is a true expert when it comes to knowing Chicago’s market. Her patient and low-key yet tough demeanor makes her my go-to person for first-time home buyers. She and I work together to ensure that the buying process is as seamless as possible for the nervous, first-time buyer.
Melinda -
When I met Melinda, I was immediately drawn to her warmth, knowledge, and energy. We quickly became friends. When she mentioned being interested in real estate, I encouraged her to join my group. Raised in Evanston and a former parent at The Francis Parker School in Lincoln Park, Melinda helped build connections for my business while showing me the ins and outs of her home community. Today, Melinda and I work closely with clients interested in buying or selling in Evanston or in the Northside neighborhoods adjacent to where she lives in Budlong Woods.
Amanda -
While Amanda is the only person within my partnership whom I did not train from the beginning, her hard work, determination and work ethic stood out to me from the first day I met her. Being in the business for 24 years, Amanda knows Chicago and its Western suburbs like the back of her hand. Whenever I’m out of the office, Amanda is my go-to coverage, ensuring my client’s needs are continuously met with the same passion and knowledge.
Market Watch:
One thing we all know about the real estate market is it is always changing. In each edition of The Domos Report, I’ll give you the inside scoop on the latest market happenings in Chicago. Right now, the market has slowed at most price points and interest rates are putting downward pressure on sales. Inventories remain low, so prices, in general, have not fallen. Many people are “frozen in place” and cannot move or do not want to move because they will have to replace their low mortgage rates with higher ones. No one is refinancing, so there is a stasis in the market. The good news is Chicago remains a pocket of strength in the national real estate market.
